I’m starting a new section of the blog-o-rama in the coming weeks for product reviews and giveaways. This is crazy exciting to me because I am a huge (HUGE!) proponent of telling the world when you love something.
And because I have no talent in the secret-keeping department (unless of course, the secret is yours, then I’m a vault. But if it’s my secret, fahgeddabahdit), I’m totally going to spill the beans. Right. Now. And tell you what’s in store in the coming weeks.
First, because I love love love

Okay, so a few of you have already responded to the giveaway and your entries have been counted. But I’m too excited to wait!!!
Here’s what we’re gonna do. If you’ve already entered, no need to re-enter unless you want to pick up a couple more entries. But for those of you who haven’t, we’re changing the rules up a bit.
Giveaway ends on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. You may have up to 5 entries…and here’s how you can get them. Please use a separate comment for

We’ve had some moments this week, our family. Okay, more than just moments. We’ve had DAYS of sickness, exhaustion, overwhelmedness (yes, it’s a word. *my* word.), and just plain meh. I came down with some kind of funky stomach flu that didn’t get all-out miserable, but just made things a little harder and yuckier. And I’ve been on crutches now for five weeks trying to treat the world’s worst-ever case of plantar fasciitis compounded with Achilles tendonitis (cue the tiny violin).
be still my beating heart

Well, it’s Monday and I’m feeling ambitious, having posted a Make or Buy the past couple of weeks. I thought about skipping this week, but I had an easy one to share, so here you have it.
Raise your hand if you love the creamy goodness of Greek-style yogurt.
I confess that I had not even tried the stuff until very recently. Quick back story: a delicious new fro-yo place called Sweetlix opened up near my office, so of course I had

I have been off work since last Thursday and have pretty much just been vegging and enjoying the family. So today, I have just a few random thoughts from this weekend for ya.
UNO: I didn’t know Someone on Twitter corrected my spelling of Brussels sprouts and gave me a snippet of background. Who knew? Apparently not me. I confess it took me looking at the tweet about 12 times before I realized the whole point was that I had spelled it incorrectly. <sigh>
huh. how 'bout

Today was our neighborhood’s much anticipated GIANT Yard Sale. For the past several weeks, I’ve rummaged through our house, gathering up items long since forgotten, covered in dust, just waiting for the perfect occasion to come out of storage. After four and a half years in this house, we’ve finally come to terms with the fact that the perfect occasion was this sale.
This GIANT sale.
More than 20 families, signs galore, advertising out the wazoo.
And we were ready for it. I bought stickers and poster board and brand

Remember these little guys?
not afraid of you anymore, tiny cabbages.
It probably seems like I am a tad obsessed with trying to like our friend, the brussel sprout. And maybe I am. See, this is really the only vegetable I don’t care for. But even though the taste isn’t my thing, there are a million reasons to love them. According to whfoods.com (great website, by the way, and a really great book too), our little green buddies are:
low in calories…a cup only has about

It’s Make or Buy Monday, y’all. Time to dive into photography.
I should start by confessing that I am an enormous photo junkie. When Sean and I got married, the photographer was the most important thing on my list.

When we were expecting our daughter…yep, belly shots.

And when I went into labor, who was in the room? A couple of midwives, my husband…and a photographer.

Whew! Wow, what a week. First of all, I need to do a little happy dance *shuffle*kick*wiggle*waggle* because I won the Blanqi giveaway over at The Busy Budgeting Mama! Let me just say that I am insanely, ridiculously excited about this giveaway because I had been planning to buy one in each color when the two pink lines next show up for us. When I showed Sean the extreme deliciousness of the Blanqi, there was a little “rawr” and then the suggestion… “you should get the black one“.
