Tomorrow, the fam and I are hitting the road in order to surprise my dad for an early Father’s Day thing. Even though my mom is willing to make the trip north, my dad’s not big on the city and so we haven’t seen him since Christmas. It’s been too long.
My dad is awesome. The best. He’s a sappy, gushy kind of guy, and has mad skills.
Don’t believe me?
Well my daddy built this here car. From scratch. And it runs. And it’s won awards — and it’s not even done yet.
Anyway, so I won’t have my normal gear at my disposal for the rest of the week. I’ll have the camera and an iMac, but no photo editing software. So any posts I make will be with unedited pics and will most likely be short as I will be terribly busy introducing the munchkin to a salt water swimming pool, eating steamed crabs and using my new Planet Wise wet bag for an upcoming review and giveaway.
Fear not though, because I have an awesome Make or Buy on the way:
Tonight as I was packing, I realized I had one more loaf’s worth of wheat bread dough in the fridge from my last “Artisan Bread” batch. So I rolled it out, made a few slices, filled it with Italian cheeses and spices, braided up the slices and baked it on up. I really should have taken a picture. It was a sight to behold.
And of course, I had to sample a slice. Or two. You know, quality assurance. Anyway, now it’s wrapped up in foil and ready for our road trip.
Anyhoo, I still have some packing to do, so I’m going to sign off for now. But before I do, two things:
